When I hear the word fetch, I now think our our Labrador Retriever, Molly, who will be two later this week! Having never had a dog, I was reluctant at first to get too close to her. I was intimidated by her energy, size, and enthusiasm for life. However, since we’ve had her since she was 8 weeks old, I have to say that I cannot imagine my life without this dog. She is so loved and such a great addition to our family.
Molly’s not great at fetch but she does like to run after kicked soccer balls, and she’ll play fetch in the house (when she feels like it) with old tennis balls. Learning to “give” when prompted is a skill that is finally coming to fruition.
