Just Hanging Out Friday At The Beach

Today we spent the day on the beach. It was 80 degrees here at Sapphire Beach on St. Thomas. We had quite a time getting here. I wrote a Medium article about it, which I will add at the end. It all worked out, so we are happy to be able to relax in the sun. It is the fourth year we’ve escaped the Wisconsin winter to the warmth of the US Virgin Islands.

I wrote three haiku, so I thought I would share them.

Tropical breezes

soothing my icy old soul,

life continues here

calm azure waters

 kites carrying cares away

tropical healing

hanging hemlocks path

tramping through snow-laden woods

show slivers of sun
