Today, I am attempting a villanelle poem. I’ve always wanted to try writing one of these, so I figured why not now. I read on a few websites how to write a villanelle since it has a specific structure. I will share what I have, but I think I need to consult another website because I’m not sure I have it quite right. I used Poets.org for the structure. I need to analyze it for the ending rhyme sounds, according to writebetterpoems.org. I have more than two, but so did the mentor poem I followed on Poets.org. No worries, I had fun writing it and will figure it out.

Regardless, I used the prompt word of the day, which was rascal.
