Flowers Forever and a Shower Poem

Hello! It’s Poetry Friday, and Heidi is our host for the round-up this week. But, before you go, I hope you read some of my most recent poems. Thanks for hosting, Heidi. You can find a link to her page at the end of my article.

Please read my accompanying post on Medium.com

Also, here is my Earth Day post:

Here is my poem from today, partially written in my head when I was driving through the countryside to the eye doctor’s office this afternoon.

Lastly, I spent some time this week taking my first Highlights Foundation webinar on non-fiction picture books. I was relieved (ashamedly, so) that there was no networking in this class. Yes, you can respond in the chat or to the Q and A, but it is a format just to provide oodles of information. It also lets me watch leisurely and take notes. I’ve only gotten through a fourth of the presentation, but have gleaned some useful information. I see myself taking more of their courses in the future.

Now, please visit Heidi’s blog for the round-up: https://myjuicylittleuniverse.blogspot.com/

I’m looking forward to the warm weather, flowers, and mushroom hunting that come in May.

Gorgeous tulips, Carol! I look forward to seeing the “new growth” once your garden bed gets going.

Your new garden bed looks wonderful! I’m glad the animals were content to pass by as they wandered through.

Wow! What a cool-looking garden. That’s a setup to be proud of. I hope you share pics when it’s full of fresh fruit and vegetables. I think you could write a poem each day in the garden. Did you get all those little boulders from your property? They make a nice border. All the wonderful things that garden must be imagining…it’s full of possibilities.

Carol, your planters so clean and ready for growth are indeed better than a bouquet of flowers. I will look forward to seeing a picture of them in the fall.

I love the turn at the end of your haiku! There’s so much potential in a waiting garden, and it comes alive by you giving it its own imagination.
