   Wow you do have a lot of questions today!
   How many college applications does the average college-bound senior send in? – I sent in three or four

   Are digital applications easier than the paper ones of the past? – I used a digital application, but all transcripts were mailed.

   Why does it take until senior year in High School for English class to be fun? – I always liked English class 🙂

   Why do you feel like doing nothing when it is raining out (as it is today)? – Because it’s funner to watch the rain.

   Why are we so intolerant of our differences as humans? – 😦 I wish I knew.

   How much effort do you put into a grocery list? – Not enough because I always forget something.

   How many times a week are you at a grocery store? – Once

   Do you still use plastic bags? Straws? Disposable Silverware? No.

   Do you take your own mug to the convenience store for coffee? – Don’t drink coffee.

   Do you use loose leaf or tea bags? – Depends on what tea I’m drinking.

   Do you have a pet? Cat or Dog or Other? – Two cats.

   How much traffic is too much traffic? – I live in LA, so there’s always too much traffic.

   Would you read another blog I make on Environmental Education? – Probably!

   What topics would you most like to read about? – History!

   Are students under too much pressure today? If so, why? – I’m sure a lot of them are.

   Have you ever felt misunderstood? What did you do about it? – Always. I was still me anyway.

   Why is it some people can see through bureaucracy and others perpetuate it? – Another one I wish I knew.

   How do you make a difference in our world? – Be kind and try my best.

   If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? Why? – All of the places. Everywhere. More travel!

   How many emails do you have in your inbox right now? Too many.

   Do you clean them out daily? Weekly? Monthly? Yearly? Daily.

      WOW! And you have some great answers! Thanks so much for responding! Will answer my own questions for you since you were so kind to share yours!

      College Apps – I sent one, since I went early decision. Our oldest sent in two, our second oldest sent in one, and our youngest has sent in two and might do a third. But, my niece sent in 9!

      I think if the website is well done, digital apps are great! Transcripts are now sent through a transcript service either digitally or via mail – have to pay now for this, either way it’s sent.

      I always liked English class too – makes sense – we are writers! But, I wish my boys had been more enthusiastic for and engaged by their English classes. I am not sure what makes them “difficult” or “boring” for teens. Maybe the way the material is presented? Not sure.

      I wish I knew why we become intolerant of others. I wish it would stop and we’d be more accepting of individual differences!

      I do okay on my grocery list and usually get most of what is on it. But, occasionally, if I am in a rush – I forget the list on the kitchen counter! Then, it’s not helpful at all! I visit the grocery store too many times in a week – not every day but too much!

      I try not to use plastic silverware. But, we do have a child still in school and occasionally will slip a spoon in his lunchbag. Often, it comes home. I do not use straws anymore.

      Oops….I hit send by mistake. I will send more later. I do take my own mug to the convenience store for my coffee. I actually like doing that because it stays warm longer! (and, it’s better for the environment.)

   Our environmental efforts at home include using plastic ziploc bags, but washing and reusing. We take our own bags to the grocery store. When we do get a plastic grocery bag, we recycle it. I still don’t like reusing plastic bags as cat litter bags or garbage can liners because they still end up in the garbage. We don’t use plastic silverware much but I wash and reuse some quality ones I bought years ago for kids bd parties. Because I don’t buy coffee on the road much, I never remember to bring my own cup. I feel we do a lot already, but there is always more we could do. Its a learning curve being raised in a world where out of sight, out of mind was the norm. We never thought twice about using aluminum foil or cling wrap before. Even tea bags can have plastic in the mesh. So much to think about now!

      All great efforts on your part! Thank you! I am a coffee drinker and try to bring my reusable cup to the convenience store regularly. I also have reusable grocery bags and produce bags – it is a habit that I need to have a visual reminder of, however. And, lately, I have been thinking about switching to loose tea. Our family has had a lot of conversations about how things need to be fixed instead of thrown out. Thanks for your comments, again, for your efforts!
