Tom Turkey

Why is a turkey named Tom, and not

Bill, Bud, or Jim?

This is something I’ve wondered,

As well as why they’re never called slim!

I think I know the answer,

For a slim Turkey, even a Tom,

Won’t ever fill you up!

Eat, drink, and enjoy giving thanks

With those you love today.
