The WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge for this week is to post on your interpretation of the word, Smile! My post is brief but the smile(s) are lasting! Enjoy!
Who doesn’t love a good amusement park? Pictured here is one of my boys when he was much littler than he is now. We were at Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio! Who doesn’t love a good amusement park? The smile says it all!
This is followed by my other two boys, also much, much younger than they are now trying to figure out if their wingspan is as large as some raptors! Turkey vultures, eagles, hawks….which are you? This was taken at the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison, Wisconsin. Who doesn’t love a good zoo?
Who doesn’t love a good plant sale? This photo, shot years ago, was from a plant sale fundraiser at our school. Fifth grade students who helped me with set up that year are now juniors in college! Wow! The other reason this photo makes me smile is that at the end of the night, we had many plants left. One lady, who was building a new house, came up and said, “I’ll buy everything you have left!” We gave it to her for half off and my husband delivered the plants to her house! It was a win-win – definitely, enough to make everyone smile!
Here we are on the top of Haleakala Volcano on Christmas Morning in 2015. The sun had just come up! Who wouldn’t love seeing that event? Another day! Another reason to smile!
And lastly, more smiles as I posed as Vermeer’s Girl with the Pearl Earring while in Den Haag in 2016.We had a great trip, reason to smile, and this portrait capture was just too tempting to pass up! Our smiles are much bigger than hers, as you can see, as the original Vermeer is pictured at the left! I am sure our smiles were bolstered by our daily selfies on the streets & backroads of The Netherlands!
