Did You Know?
Did you know that I also write on Medium.com? I have been a writer there since 2022. My address page can be found at: https://carollabuzzetta.medium.com/
Medium is a membership platform, but I can share with a friend link, too.
Formal Education
My background is varied. I earned a BSN from Alfred University in New York, a Master's in Child Health from SUNY Buffalo, and another Master's from UW- Steven's Point in Natural Resources, with an emphasis on Environmental Education.
What do I write about?
I write about life. You will find my articles focus on travel, education, community involvement, gardening, and sometimes parenting, although those days are mostly behind me now. I value honesty and transparency, as well as education, service, & creativity.
Throwback Thursday: Banff & The Bow River Valley 2019
That is Boom Lake which took a five mile hike to get to….no drive up. Five in and five out. So beautiful… This mountain fed lake was just above freezing, even in August! 3 of my 4 male family members took a swim! They said it was so cold they could barely breathe! It was literally in and out (in their undies!) 🙂
Oh wow that’s a long hike! Looks like a good payoff though (and wow that’s brave taking a dip in water that cold!)

I have video of it and it is funny! I did not do it! Too cold!

What beautiful photos – which, I’m sure, STILL can’t do this place justice. My father used to love going to Banff with his family growing up. I have letters he wrote home during his service in the Korean war wishing he could be with his folks on their annual trip.
Beautiful – that reflection in the first photo!! <3

Thanks for those memories. =))
Thank you! We absolutely loved it and plan to go back! And, yes – there is no way to capture how absolutely beautiful it is there! Unspoiled.
